American Triple Aces

This list of 73 aces includes those that scored at least 1 kill in WW2
but ended their careers with 15 or more kills overall.

___________________________________________________________

Scoring goes - Destroyed / Probably Destroyed / Damaged

If one of those categories shows two numbers separated with a hyphen ( - ) the exact number is not known & the score is considered to be within that range.

According to Christopher Shores, the RAF decided that on 12 August 1940 an "Unconfirmed Destroyed" would be reclassified as a "Probably Destroyed." Here you will find early "unconfirmed" claims represented in the "probable" spot.

OTG = On The Ground, OTW = On The Water, KIA = Killed In Action,
MIA = Missing In Action, KiFA = Killed in a Flying Accident, D = died, K = killed

It should be noted that although we take great care to make these scores as accurate as possible, the main reason for this site is to put faces to names, not to be a definitive list of scores.
